Hellingly Junior Archers

All Hellingly Junior Archers are part of Hellingly Archers.
Junior members shoot alongside Hellingly Adult Archers.

Picture
At Hellingly Archers, we have Juniors who shoot Longbow, Barebow, Compound, Recurve and Horsebow.
All Junior Archers have to complete the beginners course before being able to become a member of the club.
When shooting indoors Junior Archers tend to shoot the same rounds as the Adults, but at times we adapt the distances or offer a different round for the Juniors to shoot. When shooting outdoors, where possible, the Juniors have their age equivalent versions of the Adult round for that session.

Competitions
Hellingly Junior Archers take part in the club competitions
and if they wish, they may enter other local club competitions that are run throughout the year. Junior Archers may also choose to be entered into the Sussex Junior Winter League Postal Competition, which runs throughout November to March. Our Records Officer summits all of our Junior's scores for them, once a month during the Indoor season. Some of our Junior Archers have represented Sussex in County and Inter-County Competitions. Our Club encourages Junior Archers primarily to enjoy Archery. There is no pressure to score rounds/enter competitions.
