Before anyone can join the club they need to attend a beginners course. Experienced archers can apply to join subject to an assessment of competency.
The club typically runs several beginners courses throughout the summer season. Contact the secretary or see the website for the latest information.
A beginners course typically consists of 4 sessions that will cover everything from setting up the bow to scoring a round.
Over the 4 sessions you'll be tutored in the techniques of shooting barebow and with sights using a modern recurve bow. You'll also be introduced to all 4 of the bow types recognised by Archery GB.

All equipment is provided and should you decide to join the club it will be available until the time you want to acquire your own personal kit. Typically this would be around 6 months.
